As illustrated in the previous lesson, sexual harassment at workplace is a disturbing, upsetting and traumatic incident that no employee should go through. Which is why, organisations must take the right approach and strict disciplinary actions to quell the menace that is sexual harassment.

Recognising this, the Supreme Court of India constituted a basic set of guidelines for prevention of sexual harassment at workplaces in 1997, later followed by the national POSH act.
