1. In the scenario below, let’s assume you have identified and profiled your stakeholders. You are part of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team. The profiles have been listed for you. Using only the information given, classify the stakeholders listed into appropriate quadrants on the power-interest grid? Remember, this is only the identification and classification stage. You have not yet gotten around to having any communication due-diligence conversations with any of them.
(Please note that you must choose all possible correct options to earn the points for this quiz. Missing out any correct option, or choosing any incorrect option will lead to you not earning any points on the quiz.)
I. Ajay Masand (CEO):
Ajay has been travelling extensively over the past 7 months, and has only been the office sporadically. He has no opinions on the functioning of the CSR committee that you’re aware of, and has not found the time to engage with the CSR committee beyond a few cordial exchanges, given the demands on his time.
II.Sharon Brett (Director HR)
Sharon is very closely affiliated with CSR initiatives, and one of her team members is a CSR committee member. She makes it a point to attend as many CSR events as her schedule permits, and is a strong ambassador of the CSR cause. Many CSR campaigns have been successful in the past, in part because Sharon actively endorsed all of them.
III. Vikas Sharma (DGM-Corporate Affairs)
Vikas is a very influential man, and wields tremendous influence both within and beyond the walls of the organization. He is indifferent to CSR activities though, and many invites to CSR events have been ignored. He has implied that his busy schedule prevents him from being more active.
IV. Devadatta Kolarkar (Manager – Operations)
Devadatta is not a CSR committee member, but if he was, he’d make a very good one. He has attended almost every single CSR event, and many NGOs affiliated with the organization have come to know him by first name. He is even sponsoring a child’s education with one of the affiliated NGOs. He heads a team of 12 members, and actively encourages them to attend too.
V. Seema Bangera (Team member – CSR committee member)
Seema seemed very affiliated with the CSR cause when she first joined, but her participation gradually tapered off to a point where she hasn’t been involved with any CSR activities in any remarkable way. She attends CSR committee meetings whenever she can, and does whatever is asked of her. But she has not attended any CSR event in a while. You’re aware that Seema has a lot of priorities outside of work, and they take up a lot of her time.
Which of the following are the best practices recommended by Imprezzio Marketing when it comes to communicating with clients and stakeholders?
