Imagine Manisha is well versed with her goals and PERFORMANCE STANDARDS, possesses great BEHAVIORAL SKILLS, is CONFIDENT AND MOTIVATED to succeed. However, imagine she lacks evolved TECHNICAL ABILITY to perform her role. Will she be able to perform at peak level? Obviously, not.
Now consider this scenario that she is well-versed with her goals and performance standards, possesses all required technical and behavioural skills is motivated to succeed but lacks the SELF-BELIEF to perform in her job role. Will she succeed? No!
If any of these factors are missing in an individual, then it is next to impossible for the person to succeed at work.
In conclusion:
If any of your team members are performing poorly, then it points to the fact that one or more of the five factors is missing in that team member.
